The Flag of Greater London, also known as the London Drapery, is a banner that represents the administrative area of Greater London within the United Kingdom. It consists of nine stripes, arranged in three sets of three, and one additional stripe at the hoist (the left side when displayed vertically). The top set of stripes is white, red, and blue; the middle set is yellow, white, and green; and the bottom set is black, white, and violet. The flag design was first introduced in 2012 to signify the unified London region and reflect its diverse history and communities. It is not to be confused with the Union Flag or other regional flags within the UK. The use of the Greater London flag is predominantly ceremonial and symbolic, being flown at public buildings, events, and occasions that celebrate London's unique identity.
