Walt Disney Hall was filled with enthusiasm! John Williams, the master of film music by Dudamel & the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and Darth Vader! Also "Schindler's List" by Perlman! John Williams, the master of film music. He has created many masterpieces in his partnership with filmmaker Steven Spielberg. This video was the opening event for the 2014/2015 season of the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, led by Hall-based Gustavo Dudamel, performed the music of John Williams with violinist Itzhak Perlman. The opening piece was "Olympic Fanfare and Theme," composed during the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.John Williams also won a Grammy Award for this work, and has composed music for the three Olympic Games held in the United States since then. The next piece, "Soundings," was premiered at the inaugural performance of the Walt Disney Concert Hall, and was composed in the image of the modern appearance of the hall. Perlman appeared in Schindler's List. Perlman's excellent sensitivity and technique in this gentle and sad music will remind you of the scenes from the movie. Perlman also plays "Fiddler on the Roof," which was performed by Isaac Stern in the film. Dudamel's enthusiastic request for "Catch Me If You Can" was included in the program. This jazz-inspired song incorporates the atmosphere of the 1960s, the era in which the film is set. John Williams played jazz when he was young, and his experience is reflected in his work.And after all, John Williams and Steven Spielberg are known for "Star Wars. For the encore performance of "The Empire Strikes Back" - March of the Empire, John Williams took the podium himself and Darth Vader made an appearance to enliven the concert. For the encore, the Los Angeles Children's Chorus sings a moving rendition of "Amistad," a historical film about slavery in the United States, followed by "Jaws," and John Williams' masterpiece can be enjoyed to the end.
