Tallis Scholars 2024 Japan Commemoration! In celebration of their long-awaited first visit to Japan in five years, the Tallis Scholars are re-releasing a new reissue of their classic recording of Allegri: Miserere, one of the greatest works of church music of all time. The Tallis Scholars are proud to announce the re-release of their newly re-released masterpiece, "Miserere" by Allegri, one of the greatest works of church music in history! The Tallis Scholars, who reign as the best a capella group not only in England but also in the world, recorded Allegri's "Miserere" at the same place more than 20 years after the first recording in 1980, and it is widely known as their own synonym. In addition to the performance, two different versions of the "Miserere" with ornamentation by soprano Deborah Roberts, a core member of the Tallis Scholars at the time, are also included. In addition, the Tallis Scholars recorded "Pope Marcellus' Mass," Palestrina's magnum opus, in 1980, as well as the first "Miserere" in 1980, and this is a recording of the supreme choral art written for the Sistine Chapel. The voices of the gods descending from the heavens move listeners with deep and beautiful emotion.
